!!!!!!! 10% MILITARY & FIRST RESPONDERS DISCOUNTS!!!!!!!!!! (any regular priced 3D/4D package)
Recommended timeframe for the BEST POSSIBLE 3D/4D images is 28-32wks gestation for single pregnancies, and 24-28wks gestation for multiple. Displayed prices for singleton pregnancies, additional $30 to any package for multiples.
2D: Is the black and white that you usually see at the OB/GYN office. Skeletal features and profiles are seen. We use 2D to determine gender and to find baby's profile to get our 3D images.
3D: Refers to 3-Dimensional images. These are the images we can print for you and also the frozen image you see on the screen.
4D: Refers to "Real Time Motion" in a 3-Dimensional view. When performing the exam you can see movement, smiles, and even yawning motions from baby as they happen in real time in your belly.
We use all three for the exams that say "2D/3D/4D" in the description.
We recommend 28-32 weeks gestation for single pregnancies (one baby). When you are pregnant with multiples you should come in for 3D/4D imaging sooner, we suggest 25-28 weeks gestation. If you come in before 28wks, baby might look smaller and features are not as defined. If you come in 32w+ baby may look more squished which in turn makes for a blurry or blotchy image. We have anyone outside of the recommended time frame sign a disclaimer stating that they are aware of what we recommend are they are fine with the images they might possibly get by being outside of the "best time frame".
Gender determination with ultrasound at Babyview can be done as early as 13 weeks gestation. Yes, there are some instances were baby does not cooperate for the exam and we can not see gender. In cases like this we do offer you to return for one free ultrasound to try and obtain an image of gender.
Movement or stimulation from the outside helps us to get baby "up and active" for the exam. You are here to get images/video of your baby's face and we do try to obtain the best possible views of your baby. If baby is asleep in a position where the facial features can not be seen we will try and move or tap on your belly to get baby in a better position. If baby has a hand, arm, leg or foot over the face we will again try and manipulate baby to get a better view.
If at any time you are not comfortable with us moving your belly, you have every right to ask us to stop and we will. We again try moving the belly to obtain images for your package selection, but we will abide by your decision to stop outside stimulation to baby. You can also ask to try and move baby yourself if you are more comfortable with that. Babies in the womb are very protected by your body, the fluid surrounding baby and the tissues between the outside world and your womb. The movement and tapping do not cause any harm to baby what so ever. Movement and stimulation occurs in OB/GYN offices for them to obtain proper measurements and views to be sure that baby is healthy. We at Babyview would never do anything to harm you or your unborn child. Please let us know what you are feeling during the exam and we will be more than happy to accommodate.
3D/4D imaging uses the same ultrasound waves that your OB/GYN uses in their office. We perform exams that are between 5-20 minutes, this exposure time is very minimal and usually much less than an ultrasound with your doctor or specialist.
Water is key to a great scan! We recommend to start drinking plenty of water at least 4 days prior to your exam. A full bladder helps us to see better. In ultrasound, we use the bladder to get clearer images of baby. Lower carb foods keep baby active. Make sure you eat. Babies will take the nutrients from the lower carb foods you eat and turn it in to energy.
**Try NOT to come get an ultrasound after a Glucose Test with your doctor. Baby will get super energized with all the sugar given with the test, and will crash after and not cooperate.
We offer a few different add-ons to our packages. You can ad a CD of images. This disc will have photos of baby that are taken during the time we are performing the exam. These photos can include 2D images and 3D images depending on which package you chose. We offer a DVD recording. This disc is a recording of everything seen on the screen during the time we are performing the exam. This video is set to lullaby music. This disc does not include the sound of baby's heartbeat. For heartbeat, we do offer two sizes of Stuffed animals to include the sound recording of baby's heartbeat. Yes, this recording is of your baby's heartbeat, captured during the exam.
Time is the only thing that is not considered an "Add-on" you must choose a package with the time you are wanting 5,10 or 15minutes.

The door for Babyview is located right under the big "Babyview" sign. We are on the side of the building closest to the street Lone Star Parkway. Our building is right next to the lighthouse center and in the same parking lot as the kidney center. We are in the same building as the Alamo Ranch Orthodontist.

This could be due to any number of different factors. During the ultrasound optimal views of baby may or may not be available due to various factors such as gestational age, position, amount of fluid, and mother's condition. We promise to make every effort to obtain the best possible images of the parts of baby we can see.
Common factors that obstruct "clear" views of baby:
Anterior Placenta (placenta on top of baby)
Umbilical cord in front of the face.
Baby's face in the wall of the uterus.
Baby's arms, hands, legs & feet in the face.
For 3D/4D ultrasounds to be "successful" we need adequate space & fluid. If there is not enough space in front of baby's face images will not be clear. Please refer back to "the best timeframe for 3D/4D" & why we move they belly.
Yes! We do now. As of November 2022 we have started to offer pregnancy confirmation with abdominal ultrasound. Mom must be at least 5 weeks past the first day of her last menstrual cycle with a positive pregnancy test.
No. Although our sonographers are trained in diagnostic ultrasound, we do not provide measurements, dating or assess for fetal abnormalities. This is why we require each patient to have already seen a physician for their pregnancy prior to getting an ultrasound here at Babyview.
Due to the pandemic you may arrive early and come in to sign in. You must then return to your vehicle and fill out any paper work needed. When you sign in you leave your phone number for us to call you back in when we are ready for you and your guests.
Due to Covid, we are only allowing one patient and their guests in our office at any given time to minimize exposure.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
If at any time you are going to be running late please call us. When you call we can let you know if our schedule allows for you to still come in late or if we need to reschedule you. Babyview only allows a 5min grace period for late arrivals, after 5min you will need to be rescheduled or the system will mark you as a no show. Due to Covid, this policy is very strict, again allowing for minimal exposure and for our appointments to run on time.
There are usually same day appointments so please call us to see if we can get you in the same day.
Masks are a REQUIREMENT. No one is allowed in to our office with out the appropriate facial coverings. The coverings must cover nose and mouth. You and your guests must provide your own masks.
Our office and exam room are sanitized between each patient. Hand sanitizer is provided for guests. We are also equipped with Germicidal Lamps to kill all bacteria and viruses in and around our office space.
